Energy efficient combination with heat pump, photovoltaics and power storage unit
In new build and modernisation projects alike, heat pumps that can be operated with self-generated power from photovoltaics are increasingly being used. Combined with a battery storage system, this makes it possible to achieve a high degree of independence from the public electricity grid and from fossil energy systems. The new Vitoclima units can be perfectly integrated. Vitoclima can also be used as a heat pump by simply reversing the way it works: this means that heat is extracted from the outdoor air and released into the room. This saves energy and costs, as the heating can remain switched off.
